Fethiye Coast rests peacefully on the Mediterranean coast harbor, and is surrounded with pine tree forests and mountains. Most visitors take daytrips to Oludeniz, Butterfly Valley, Kayokoy or Sakikent Gorge during the day and later enjoy Fethiye’s winding streets and ancient Lycian rock tombs, whose remains line the surround mountains and streets. There are buses, cabs, Dolmus boats and charters for transportation. |

This 5 Star Exclusive all-inclusive resort caters to Europeans and Americans. The grounds are secured, and many rooms offer a beautiful view of the sea. Free amenities include hamams (Turkish baths) yoga, salsa, and dance classes, swimming pools and beach water sports. Gourmet meals and drinks are included on an unlimited basis. Nightly shows and a discotheque overlooking the Mediterranean offer fantastic entertainment. During the workshop, tables will be reserved for the workshop attendees and their family or friends. LEYLA JOUVANA and ROLAND Leyla is a Yugoslavian born International Celebrity who has 15 years dancing experience in Middle Eastern dance. She has a dynamic presence and personality, with a distinctive, graceful style of dance. Leyla has taught 3000+ students across the world. Her husband, Roland, is a professional musician and accompanies Leyla during performances, and workshops. Roland is a diverse and excellent drummer who performs for each class. |

RUINS The road north into Fethiye climbs steep hillsides thick with pine trees. There are necropolis, with facades of the cliff-hewn tombs, which replicate Greek Temples and Towers. There is an archaeological museum in town, which displays antiquities and artifacts.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES An evening stroll on the hillside roads above Fethiye offers a fantastic view of surrounding hillsides, the sea and yachts in the marina. There are nearby farming villages. One to three day boat trips to nearby islands include „12 island tours" at Gocek island for a swim, to Dock-Yard Island (where the ruins of an Ottoman dockyard can be seen). Other stops include Cleopatra’s bath (where bathing in is said to make you look 10 years younger), Turtle Beach and Dalyan-Kaunos, (includes mud bath and hot springs). These optional trips are available with the workshop tour. Through the resort, horseback riding and river rafting trips are available. One to two day trips to Oludeniz, a famous Turkish Rivera which yields gorgeous beaches and lagoons is available, along with other package tours to neighboring cities. |
THE WORKSHOP Students range from beginners to professional level. Instruction on a variety of Middle Eastern dance, will be provided. Enhancing dance technique and styling will be a focus. Leyla teaches 26 types of shimmies, and will provide choreographies. Performances at the resort and on cruises, will be available. A student recital will be held the last day.
IN THE TOWN OF FETHIYE - FOOD Carsi Cad. has exquisite dining possibilities, including harbor view restaurants, boardwalk bars, cafes and restaurants with fine local or European cuisine.
