Kami's style is what she calls a modern fusion of an ancient dance. Although she is primarily a tribal dancer, she pulls from the various styles of belly dance that she has studied, as well as modern, hiphop, jazz, and bhangra dance. Her goal is to always be a student of dance and to constantly expand her repertoire. Kami has earned a degree in Art with a Minor in Dance from the University of Nevada, Reno. In addition to performing as a soloist, she collaborates and performs with other dancers such as Samantha Riggs of Boom Boom Bollywood and Sabrina Fox of Atash Maya Dance Company. She has been nominated for "Best Interpretive Artist" for 2005 and 2007 by Zaghareet Magazine and won the title "Entertainer of the Year 2005" at Wiggles of the West. Kami joined the BELLYDANCE SUPERSTARS in 2005 and is featured on the performance DVD Tribal Fusions: Exotic Art Of Tribal Bellydance. Kami currently resides in San Diego and teaches workshops and performs internationally.

WS with Kami Liddle: Modern Fusion of an Ancient Dance Kami´s WS are very highly recommendable to every dancer, Tribal or bellydancer and for every level. In her 3 different WS you will discover exciting layers, conditioning, amazing technik and funny combos.
Friday: 6-10 pm Seamless Dancing This class will begin with a brief warm-up and move onto movements, but with a twist! A series of combinations will be introduced, focusing on creating smooth and continuous lines with the body, with a few pops and locks thrown in for fun. These combinations will be put together for a choreography.
Saturday 10.30 am - 2.30 pm Funky Combos This fun workshop plays with changing the intensity and timing of movements while combining slow snake-like movements with fast staccato moves. Exciting new combos will be introduced that will flow together into a choreography.
Sunday 11 am - 3 pm Move It! This class is about moving beyond standing in place and executing hip work, pops, locks and what have you. The focus of this workshop is to get you moving and traveling across the floor. Various footwork, spins and traveling steps will be broken down, embellished and put into combinations that you can add to any dance routine.
Modern fusion of an ancient dance Kami Liddle
Kami has studied various dance styles throughout her life, but found her true passion, Belly Dance, when she was 18 years old. She began to study cabaret style belly dance until she found Fat Chance Belly Dance and began to study their videos religiously.
Today Kami refers to her style as a modern fusion of an ancient dance. As she began to perform as a soloist she began to incorporate other styles into her ATS repertoire such as modern, hip hop jazz and bhangra dance. Kami has earned a degree in Art with a Minor in Dance from the University of Nevada, Reno and has been nominated for 'Best Interpretive Artist" for 2005 and 2007 by Zaghareet Magazine.
She joined Bellydance Superstars in 2005 and is a contributing choreographer as well as the director of the Tribal Superstars.
Kami recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area.
