and welcome to the to the Greek island of Crete, an island to fall in love with.
As one of the most beautiful and even more original islands with its scenic variety, hospitality and history, it is one of the most popular islands of the Mediterranean.
Europe's southernmost island lies equidistant from Africa, Asia and Europe. The Cretens are proud of their home with the troubled past - are correspondingly cosmopolitan and very amable.

Almyrida

25 km away from Chania airport lies the fishing village of Almyrida with its nice seafront tavernes that invites you to linger. Only recently the place with its picturesque setting has become touristic while retaining much of its original charm.

In a very historic region lying is the bay of outstanding natural beauty: Crystal clear water, clean beaches, the hills lined with olive trees and the mountains of Lefka Ori (2.500 m) make the natural charm of this place.

In the beautiful „tavernas“ at the sea front you can enjoy  Cretan meals to reasonable prices or have a drink in the evening.

Almyrida Beach – Studios – Residence

The Almyrida Studios, built as the first part oft he reseort, lie directly beside the sea and are still the most popular part, separated only by a small access road. Rooms are with balcony and mostly with kitchenette. 

Restaurants

Included in the price is a good breakfast buffet with Cretan accents. Dinner-bufett on 12 days (6 days per week). Each day a week we offer a tour to Chania and Rethymnon, both places with a pituresque old town and Venician harbour where you can enjoy your dinner in cozy „tavernas“.

Excursions and Tours (can be offered for self-cost-price)
lead to ancient sites, museums, churches and monasteries, f.e. the Minoan archaeological site of Knossos and visit the old town and the Museum of Heraklion or to the beautiful beach of Elafonissi passing chestnut forests and monasteries, to Chania and Rethymnon with their attractive old towns and Venician harbours. Smaller hikes lead to beautiful villages such as Plaka, Kokkino Horio - scene of the famous movie "Alexis Zorbas" - Gavalochori and Vamos, among others are possible.

Dance Workshops
Here, with individual attention and encouragement the shimmy queen Leyla will introduce you with positive energy to the wonderful world of oriental dance. Even for the initiated, we guarantee that however advanced a dancer you may be, you will still come home from this holiday with some stunning new tricks and tips! The line up of dance seminars includes technique, rhythms and feeling the music, shimmies and choreography, all accompanied by live drumming from Roland, the king of oriental drums. With 20 hours of professional dance training - 10 hours per week (not including breaks and including last day party time ) there will be plenty of opportunity to work on specific areas with individual needs. Anyone who has ever attended a workshop with Leyla and Roland, experienced her passion for the dance and knows that she will bring out your very best as a dancer – and then some extra: pack your costume for the party on the last WS day of your holiday and join us for an unforgettable dance experience! Attention: the classes are counted towards CODE (certified oriental dance education). On Request Leyla will give you a certification of attendance.

Conditions of participation

1. Registration: You will receive a letter of confirmation directly after the forwarding of your registration and/or receipt of the pre-payment

2.  Payment: The outstanding payment is due 35 days before the travelling date.

3.  Resignation conditions: Before travelling begins, the customer can withdraw at any time from the journey. A written explanation for a resignation is required, date of fax or postal stamp is considered as resignation date. We charge the following cancellation fees:

Up to 30 days prior departure date: 30 from price 
Up to 15 days prior departure date: 50% from price
Up to 15 to 7 days prior to departure date: 80% of the price
7 days prior to departure date: 90% of the price

The entire fee is due when cancellation takes place on the actual departure day. We recommend a travel insurance for possible cancellations.

4.  Responsibility: Each participant is responsible to forward his flight info to Tara Travel to ensure the airport transfer and she is going to confirm the receiving of the flight schedule. Tara is responsible exclusively for hotel & transfer, but to inform you about flight time changings if you book the flight through Tara.

5.  Liability: Each participant carries the full responsibility for its own actions and is responsible for damage to the property of our contracting parties in and outside of the group caused by him/ herself.

Conditions of participation (Dance Seminar)

1. Registration
You will receive a letter of confirmation directly after the forwarding of your registration and/or receipt of the pre-payment

2. Payment
100 Euros pre-payment and the outstanding payment is due 35 days before the travelling date. The following resignation conditions are depending on own non-cancellable booking of hotel and flights.

3. Resignation conditions
Before travelling begins, the customer can withdraw at any time from the journey. A written explanation for a resignation is required, date of fax or postal stamp is considered as resignation date. We charge the following cancellation fees:
Up to 30 days prior departure date: 30% from seminar price
Up to 15 days prior departure date: 50% from seminar price.
Up to 15 to 7 days prior to departure date: 80% of the seminar price.
7 days prior to departure date: 90% of the seminar price.
The entire fee is due when cancellation takes place on the actual departure day.

If the teacher is unable to come, we are free in our choice of equivalent replacement.

4. Liability/Responsibility
Each participant carries the full responsibility for its own actions during the courses, in the free time and during the excursions. Any health problems have to be disclosed to the course leaders. Each participant is also responsible for any damage to the property of other parties in and outside of the group caused by him/herself. The teachers Leyla Jouvana and Roland are responsible exclusively for the preparation and execution of the dance seminar.
